I thought I'd restart the blog since I haven't posted in over a year. I'll discuss my favorite topic, cowboy boots. I hope you enjoy.

My uncle Clarene Garrison, son of Charlie Garrison died in Abilene about two weeks ago. He helped his dad make boots at age 17 or so in California when he made Roy Rogers Double Eagle boots. Just happen to stumble on this blog.
Born in West Virginia, raised in Ohio, lived for awhile in Louisiana, and thank the good Lord I am now in Texas! Married to a wonderful lady, Debbie, no kids, one dog, Snickers.
I started wearing cowboy boots in 1994, mostly Luccheses. I thought those were great! Then in 1997, I read The Cowboy Boot Book by Tyler, and discovered there was more than boots at the western store. The Internet and friends were even more helpful.
I started buying custom boots, used, then I graduated to going to boot makers for new custom boots. My first was James Leddys, then M L Leddy, then Tex Robin, Rusty Franklin, Brian Thomas, Blucher Boots and Texas Traditions. Now they are the only new boots that I buy.
